In 2021, the OPS team worked alongside our colleagues in The Fair’s production team to support Boiler Room with their at Three Mills Island. This year, OPS worked to ensure the safe delivery of Boiler Room at Burgess Park.

Challenges

  • Producing and safely managing stages that enabled the public to join DJs on stage, as part of the Boiler Room Open Dancefloor

  • Ensuring a quick turnaround following an event at Burgess Park the day prior

  • Working in line with the license, considering noise levels and curfew, at a venue we had never worked at before

  • Coordinating with multiple security teams to make sure all areas were covered, ensuring effective deployment

  • Having to redesign the PUDO route – taking in consideration route closures already happening at Burgess Park

Delivery

  • Production Management throughout the Build, Live and Break stages of the event

  • On-Site H&S Manager for the Build, Live and Break

  • Community Manager on-site as part of our stakeholder engagement service

  • Safe management of the Boiler Room Open Dancefloor stage

Results

  • A sold-out show with 8,000 attendees

  • Exceptional client feedback – leading to continued collaboration with Boiler Room, and our return to Burgess Park for Boiler Room in September!

  • Positive audience feedback across social media platforms

  • Key stakeholders identified that we can liaise with for future events
